Serving our Lord is not an option for Disciples of Jesus Christ; it is a way of life.

Dear Missionary Disciples of Jesus Christ,
Each of us is called to serve our brothers and sisters, a task that brings immense joy and fulfillment. We are all capable of this service. Serving others is a concrete way in which we love our neighbors, as Christ has commanded. The best way to serve our brothers and sisters is by helping them love and follow Jesus Christ. We must also serve them by taking care of their needs, as commanded in Matthew chapter 25.
We have many opportunities at SFB Parish to do both. Serving our Lord is not an option for Disciples of Jesus Christ; it is a way of life. A good question to ask ourselves is, "How am I serving?" For those who have limited abilities or physical limitations due to our state in life, one of the greatest is to pray for your brothers and
sisters. Prayer is a powerful form of service, and you can always pray, doing so daily for those in need.
On September 9th, we are hosting an appreciation dinner for all those who volunteer at SFB. If you
volunteer for anything in the parish, you qualify. Our dinner is an opportunity to come together as a community, to grow in our discipleship, to enjoy one another's company, to have great food, and to have fun. There is plenty of room left. If you wish to come, please use the QR Code or call the number listed.
Remember, all volunteers are invited, and your presence will be greatly appreciated.
Peace,
Father Maassen
