Class Times

Our Faith Formation Classes will begin on September 3rd for in-school classes. We will also offer a distance learning option for any family who would like their children formed in the faith this way. We ask that either way you choose, to register your children with Mrs. Gulledge.

St. Francis Borgia Faith Formation Classes for grades preschool through eight are held in the grade school on
Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6:00 - 7:15 pm.

Welcome to St. Francis Borgia's Children’s Faith Formation Program!

  • Thank you for your interest in our parish's Faith Formation Program. We offer the school-age children in our parish a formal parish-based catechetical program. Classes are offered to children who do not attend a full time Catholic School from the ages of Preschool thru the Eighth Grade. Our goal is to instruct the children in our parish family as a community of believers in the Catholic faith. The instructions include faith-enriching experiences, such as liturgies, faith instructions, prayer, sacramental preparation, discussions leading to moral awareness and community service.

Registration and Information

St. Francis Borgia Parish's Children’s Faith Formation is also a sacramental preparation program for all children in the parish. We acknowledge that parents choose to educate their children in many ways that include a Catholic day school, a public school, private school or simply wish to home school their children. For our children to be formed in the Catholic Faith and for them to receive their sacraments they will need to attend a Catholic day school or participate in our parish faith formation program.

We remind parents that in order for a child to receive First Holy Communion in second grade they must register and complete classes one year prior as this sacrament requires two years of faith formation If there are children in the parish who have not been in faith formation for a period of time and need to prepare for Confirmation, they should do so as soon as possible as they must be enrolled in sixth grade to prepare using the guidelines set forth from the Archdiocese.

We also want to remind everyone that if you have a child who missed their opportunity to prepare for a sacrament in a typical time matter, we have a classroom ready to help them received any sacrament missed.

We open registration in July 2025.

Students participating in faith formation classes are allowed to participate in the Borgia Athletics. If your child is interested in participating in the sports offered by the St. Francis Borgia Grade School Athletic Association, please complete the form below and return it to the school office as early as possible.

If you request an Opt-Out form from me, a parent curriculum will be provided so that you can cover this material at home.  Note: These materials were updated in August 2019 to include the concept of child trafficking in grades 3 and above.
