200th Jubilee

The Archdiocese of St. Louis Bicentennial Jubilee began Jan 1st, 2026, and it will continue through December 31st, 2026. This Jubilee Year marks a significant milestone as we prepare for the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Diocese of St. Louis on July 18, 1826. It is a time to celebrate and honor our rich Catholic heritage, deepen our faith, and recommit ourselves to carrying the light of Christ into the future. During the Jubilee Year, let us allow God to surprise us. He never tires of casting open the doors of His heart and of repeating that He loves us and wants to share His love with us.
God has called us as his Church to be, above all, a credible witness to mercy, professing it and living it as the core of the revelation of Jesus Christ. From the heart of the Trinity, from the depths of the mystery of God, the great river of mercy wells up and overflows unceasingly. It is a spring that will never run dry, no matter how many people draw from it," says Pope Francis.

The Bicentennial Jubilee isn’t just a celebration of 200 years; it’s an invitation to reconnect with a faith that has the power to shape a city. It honors a legacy of faith that has guided generations while inspiring a future full of hope for all who call this Archdiocese home.
A great year to experience and be ambassadors of the mercy of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
